ZAAFDesign took care of the aesthetic design of the first thermal battery in Italy made from recovered organic materials for i-TES, a project focused on sustainable energy efficiency.
The creative process was shaped by observing architectural elements, which provided the aesthetic and structural foundations of the project. From this, a prismatic form emerged, designed to integrate seamlessly both into newly designed systems and existing contexts, thanks to optimized volumes and minimal bulk.
The new thermal battery improves energy efficiency by harnessing a unique property of Phase Change Materials (PCMs).
These are innovative batteries made from bio-based materials, which allow for enhanced energy efficiency by reducing thermal losses.
The applications are diverse, thanks to the highly efficient heat exchanger design, capable of handling even high discharge powers.
